Dačić attends security conference in Munich

The government press office announced on Friday that Prime Minister Ivica Dačić will attend the Security Conference in Munich, Germany.

The Belgrade-Priština dialogue will be "among the main discussion topics at the event," the statement said.

Also attending the conference, which starts on Friday, will be the EU Foreign Policy and Security Chief Catherine Ashton and Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci.

The security conference in Munich brings together dozens of heads of state and government, ministers of defense and foreign affairs, as well as many security experts.

"In addition to the dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija," said the statement, this year's conference will also discuss high-technology security, relations between Europe, America and Asia and the future of international security.

The Munich conference ends on Sunday, February 2.

On the fringes of the gathering, Dačić will have several meetings with European leaders, it has been announced.


Former president leaves Democratic Party

Former Serbian President Boris Tadić has left the now opposition Democratic Party (DS), which he led from February 2004 until November 2012.
