3 Romanians arrested for double murder in eastern Serbia

Three Romanian citizens have been arrested on suspicion that they murdered an elderly couple in the village of Brodice, near Pozarevac, eastern Serbia.

The Interior Ministry (MUP) also said that the three - V.G., born in 1961, F.G. (1967) and V.D. (1972) - are being held on the order of the prosecution based on suspicion that they committed the criminal act of aggravated murder.

The suspects will be taken to the Higher Public Prosecution in Pozarevac.

The police on Tuesday discovered the mutilated bodies of 72-year-old Draga Jugovic and her 71-year-old husband Dragoljub Jugovic in a cesspit located in their yard.

It is believed they were murdered with a knife, daily Vecernje Novosti writes, adding that the killer or the killers then tried to hide the crime by disposing of the bodies.


President's website comes under DDoS attack

The Serbian president's website faced a large-scale "hacking" attack on Monday, which brought it down for several hours, his press office said.
