Police didn’t see attack on bus

“The police officers checked on the damage and continued to escort the bus in order to make sure that the children would arrive to their final destination safely,” according to UNMIK.

The fieldtrip leader Saša Ristanović stated yesterday that the KPS officers that were escorting the four buses did not make an effort to arrest the attackers.

“They got out, looked at the damaged bus and commanded us to keep going as if nothing happened.” Ristanović said.

According to the police, it has begun an investigation but has no leads on who was responsible for the attack.

“The investigation into the damaged, moving property and the stoning has begun according to the report from the bus driver which he filed at a police station in southern Kosovska Mitrovica,” the police have stated.
