The Six back at Hague

Fila said that the six will remain at the Tribunal until Christmas, when the court is set to take a two-week break. Fila expressed his hope that the indictees will then be temporarily released again.

The six are charged with committing crimes against humanity against the Kosovo Albanians, including persecution of 800 000 Albanians and mass murders in the first half of 1999.

At the time, Milutinović was the president of Serbia, Šainović vice-president of the Federal government, Ojdanić Chief of the general staff, Pavković Commander of the Third army, Lazarević Commander of the Priština corps, while Lukić commanded MUP’s Kosovo HQs.

The former officials have surrendered between 2002 and 2005, and were released last year until the start of the trial.
