Gazprom, Srbijagas sign agreement on cooperation

Three variants of expansion are being considered and will be discussed by experts over the next two weeks, reporters were told.

Once the second stage of construction at Banatski Dvor is complete, the facility could become capable of storing one billion cubic meters of gas as opposed to the current capacity of 450 million cubic meters, Bajatovic said.

"Total investments into Banatski Dvor depend on the model selected - if it is the one envisioning a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters and a backup compressor, the investment will be worth around EUR 70 million," Bajatovic said.

The decision on the model will be made by the shareholders, but it will have to be approved by the Serbian government, he said.

Gazprom experts have prepared three scenarios that differ in quantities, storage capacity and maximum daily quantities, Aksyutin said.
