Mr/Ms clueless factman, it's since 2001 that the UN and the international community has ruled "beyond all reasonable doubt that genocide, crimes against humanity and violations of the laws or customs of war were perpetrated against the Bosnian Muslims, at Srebrenica, in July 1995"... [link] at paragraph 599
    ----------

Furthermore, the ICJ/ ICC is not the UN. Their very website calls them an "independent organization."

At the time of the Srebrenica vote only 42% of the world's population had ratified the ICJ. And today, 20 year later, only 54% of the world's population have ratified (support) the ICJ.
    (factman, 3 August 2015 07:37)

Totally irrelevant... Sorry you wasted your time. I nowhere mentioned the ICJ/ICC in my post

While other organs of the UN make recommendations to member states, only the Security Council has the power to make decisions that member states are then obligated to implement under the Charter."

  4. Well fact man russia vetoes a resolution on the civilian plane they shot down and the world cannot recognize it on paper, but the world knows it happened, russia is simply destroying its credibility by abusing its veto power.

Anywhere there are statistics show that most bosniaks killed were civilians, And almost all serbs killed were soldiers. and this whole "they wanted their civilians killed so we took the liberty" argument can only damage your credibility. the last talking points are useless. They did not start the war and they did win it. Serbs started it for the sake of greater serbia and it was not accomplished. Had it not been for the arms embargo bosnia would be liberated like croatia.

Re Bosnia Civilians. Prove it. Prove those numbers are what they say you are. And take into regard that Sarajevo placed them in harms way to get international outrage and then support dor a war they never should started against a guy they couldnt beat.

  6. to factman
The fact that russia, one of the perpetrators abused their power to keep the truth hidden does not mean that it was not genocide, russia also vetoed the resolution on the plane they shot down, does that mean they didn't do it?

And secondly you cannot use the "this is war argument" most of the bosniaks that were killed were unarmed civilians, the smaller portion were poorly armed defenders, almost all of the serbs killed were soldiers and the ones that were not soldiers were still armed and shooting, give or take a few exceptions. The fact is serbs set out to kill civilians for the sake of greater serbia and that is why it is a genocide. Ps yeah you did win most battles if you call attacking unarmed civilians and villages a battle.

  7. Avni,

    1. The UN never ruled that Stebrenica was genocide. That motion failed. 100% of the worlds people recognize that vote and it is binding.

    2. The ICJ did rule it was genocide. Almost 50% of the worlds population does not recognize the ICJ (China, India, USA, Russia, etc)

    3. ICJ ruled a single man committed genocide in Bosnia, not a nation. Not a people.

    4. Hundreds, maybe thousands of battles were fought in Bosnia. Serbs won most of those battles. When you say Bosnia was built on gencoide you are saying taht ALL those battles were genocide. This is ridiculous. Everyone was an armed combatant. Everyone killed. One side killed more than the side. Thatw no genocude. thats just war. Bisniaks 66k dead; serbs 30k dead; croats 18k dead.

“Isn't it ironic that the Muslims of Bosnia and Croats of Croatia did exactly what Izetbegovic says the RS cannot do?”

    Exactly !

No matter where Serbs live (Croatia or BIH or Kosovo) they are always regional bad guys. So they cannot afford what their neighbors are allowed and even forced to. Same with the Russians in Ukraine or Crimea or Transdniestria as we are the bad guys of the whole world. Because like Serbs we also refuse to suck. But times they are changing and now we can already withstand it.

    Cheers !

  9. From Izetbegovic: "The idea that Serbs in Bosnia can, with a one-sided referendum, decide on matters that are of common concern of all peoples and of all citizens, while ignoring the Constitution, laws,..."

Isn't it ironic that the Muslims of Bosnia and Croats of Croatia did exactly what Izetbegovic says the RS cannot do? It seems it was OK for the Muslims and Croats to break international law and disregard the constitution of the country in which they lived, yet now he suddenly advocates constitutional law. Muslims and Croats didn't want to live in Yugoslavia but Serbs should be forced to live in Bosnia? Sure, that sounds fair. This guy is the worst kind of hypocrite. Dodik will eat him for lunch.

  10. Bakir is a chip off his old man's block. Instead of needless quibbling and finger pointing, how about you sitting down with Milo and thrash out any differences you two have and get on with solving the real problems that BiH faces, that being corruption, crime, poverty and unemployment.

I have been to the RS quite a few times to see friends there as well as popping over to the Muslim/Croat section. Both entities suffer from the problems I have highlighted above but RS seems in better shape than its counterpart. Less of the nationalist flag waving and just get down to it please.

(Oh, Not Again!, 29 July 2015 22:35) Dodik aka Dodo use to hold war criminal Biljana Plavšić skirt. As she was infamous for some of her comments during the war and for her 1992 widely circulated photograph that shows her stepping over the body of a dead Muslim civilian to kiss Željko Ražnatović Serb wanted international criminal. She even said, In my family they used to say that the Serbs in Bosnia were much better than Serbs in Serbia. Now she lives in Belgrade Serbia supported by the duffs Serbs of Serbia and many more criminals why I'm not even surprised. By her statements she implied that you are genetically inferior. Then Dodo took over when she was convicted war criminal. The Serb criminal traditions continues unabated with the top "leadership" of Serbs even now.

  17. What a creep, just like his daddy.

If he and his fellow creeps in Sarajevo just stopped trying by any means necessary (often with the help of the West) to try and dissolve or reform Republika Srpska out of existence then Bosnia would be far further along the road to joining the EU. So why does he still follow his daddy's path when it only feeds Dodik's anti-Bosnia campaign?

Izetbegovic and his daddy's SDA (that once voted for Fikret Abdic as President over Alija Izetbegovic in 1990) want to be sole rulers of Bosnia forever. Real reform of the total corruption in Sarajevo in order to join the EU is out of the question so how does he square the circle? Easy, by endlessly provoking the RS and then complaining that it is the RS that is blocking reform!

Sarajevo has been bailed out from the brink of bankruptcy at least twice, once by Brussels (a billion euros or so since 1995) and another billion from the Gulf states. The RS has receive almost nothing but still functions better than the M-C Federation which like Croatia is handing out unsustainable veteran pensions to just about everyone, including the shoe polishers who took part in the civil war. Sarajevo needs someone to blame for its own incompetence and that is the RS who has no political leaders left over from the war, unlike Sarajevo.

  18. Bosnia consists of two self governing entities held together by a loose federation. One is Serbian, the the other Bosnian and Croatian. Anything done to undermine the autonomy of these independent entities undermines stability. The whole thing exists now, peacefully, based on the independence of these entities.

If things are not working out in the Croatian/Bosnian half, then they cannot use the federation to get something -- anything -- out of the Serbian half. That is bound to be unstabling, a threat to the region. The referendum is a peaceful, reasonable attempt to re-establish stability and not the other way around.

Oh wow, serbs are responsible for bringing these hooligan islamist terrorists to justice. If these serbs in Bosnia are so powerful they should make sure Oric is arrested and charged for the massacre on serbs. Izetbegovic, you and your fellow muslims give serbs in Bosnia powers they are not able to use. It all looks good on paper but doesn't work in reality. This is why there needs to be a REPUBLIKA SRPSKA!
