There is pressure, but Serbia behaves as a free country and takes care of its own future, and should the pressure be such that it is no longer possible, then someone else will rule and make different decisions, he stated.
He rejected the claims by OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović regarding censorship of internet websites in Serbia.
Mijatović expressed her concern two days ago about "censorship of websites in Serbia" and called on the country's authorities to foster a free debate on issues of public interest.
According to a release by the OSCE, "this censorship trend took on a worrying aspect last week when some websites and online content were blocked at a time of crisis, when floods hit the region."
Vučić replied that it was absolutely false to say there had been demands for articles to be pulled down from websites, and that such allegations caused great harm to Serbia, "but not to himself."
"If the actual problem is that Serbia is the only country in the region that has not imposed sanctions on Russia, then it should be brought out in the open, instead of accusing my government for alleged censorship," he remarked.
"I have said so to our foreign friends as well: 'If you want to bring me down because Serbia has shown that it acts as a free country and makes free and independent decisions on Russia and Ukraine, I will step down, because I do not want to harm the country,'" he stated.
Vučić stressed that his task as prime minister was to protect Serbia's interest, and not that of the US, Russia or the EU.
"Same side"
It is time for Serbia to be on the same side with Germany, and to be not only a political, but also an economic partner of the country, said Aleksandar Vučić.
Vučić told the RTS that he will go to Berlin on June 11, stressing that for him personally, and especially for Serbia, it is a great honor that he has received an invitation from German Chancellor Angela Merkel to pay an official visit.
"I am going to Berlin to hear what Germany thinks of and expects from Serbia, and to voice Serbia's expectations and hopes," said Vučić.
Vučić said that he wants to "point to the type of aid that Serbia hopes when it comes to the reconstruction of the country after floods, and also to underline that it wants Germany to be its strategic and political partner."
"Serbia wants to attract greater investments," Vučić said, adding that in talks with German businesspeople he "learned that they are interested in investing in Serbia."
"Since we could not be friends with Germans throughout history - at some points there was no need for that - it is time now for us to be on the same side with Germany," Vučić was quoted as saying, adding “we need to see whether Berlin recognizes us as partners."
Of course he wouldn't let you (and pretend it's a big deal, when none of these people own anything in Serbia or ever plan to travel to it!)

That is not correct Naik. The day after the ban, one of those people (the head of the DUMA, if I remember correctly, or somebody else) traveled to Serbia, inaugurated some building or center, spoke bad about Montenegro, was followed by one of Irinej's speeches about people burning alive, and then went back home. Serbia seems to be very important for Russia's propagandistic purposes regarding justification of interference in the west of its borders. There is mutual advantage there, so this is why each time Serbia makes one step towards the EU, its politicians have to repeat over and over "Russia friend, Russia friend".

For Russophobes like you most tragic thing is the fact that half people in our trenches in Donbass also speak Ukrainian at their homes.

What are they doing in the trenches, dear? They have nothing better to do with their time?

The €USSR/Titanic would rather invent an excuse to flatten Serbia again and kill it´s people, than have it as a member (burden to have to care for). Serbia is a wreck and already raped by them once, old meat. They need fresh victims not an old hag like Serbia and it´s hapless quislings and opportunists.
If Serbia could produce just one free but powerful politician/Party and just one commander like Igor "steel" Strelkov, the otporista´s and their quisling cult would anxiously start avoiding serbians & lamp post and then flee to Brussels or Washington immediately, in that order. One day or another the occupation will finally be over and they know it.

looking at the comments: it looks like cold-war-thinking.
East against west. why not east and west. EU-citizens see the corruption and that is hurdle that candidates needs to solve.
Nationalistic or etnic thinking is out. Modern states are more burocratic entities. Alexander Vucic is very correct when his speech reflected on that !

Serbia will never join the EU, not in a billion years. It's a pipedream that will never be realized because the EU does not want Serbia. Instead of focusing on modernizing its economy, the Serbian government is wasting their time trying to join an ever receding power that doesn't even want them. It will never happen.

“Thank you for the confirmation that fighters in eastern Ukraine nowadays are not peaceful local people…”
Don’t mention it you are always welcome ! Now if you really mean it you should know that such are only some of the volunteers and they compose not more than 1-3% of the Russian side fighters. For Russophobes like you most tragic thing is the fact that half people in our trenches in Donbass also speak Ukrainian at their homes. But they are part of the Russian world. Sometimes they are more of a Russian than I am. Unfortunately they already had to kill about 1200-1300 of Kiev troops also composed of the Russians.
You must already know it on your skin how awful a civil war can be. So it’s great tragedy of the Russian people. Part of our people believe they belong to Europe. Their simple minds are as poisoned as that of yours. But anyway Kiev will soon surrender. Together with the USEU aid they can stand against us only for several months. Unfortunately in the end Ukraine will be devastated and ruined … EU will become our ally in Ukraine while Psaki will tell us her stories.
Nobody knows what is on Putin’s mind. Because of his high rating he don’t have to explain it. He can afford telling the truth. One thing is evident he also cannot afford Ukraine to be occupied by the Anglo-Saxon bastards. I guess his main problem is how to do the job with minimal blood. Most likely there will be 2 Ukraines within a year and 3 Ukraines within 2 years.

"By the way the head commander of Novorossia Igor Strelkov obtained his first partisan experience in RS fighting the local Turks. Then he went to fight the Russian world in Transdniestria , Chechnya , Abkhazia , Crimea and Donbas."
(rote, 29 May 2014 20:13)
Thank you for the confirmation that fighters in eastern Ukraine nowadays are not peaceful local people that are discontent with the government, but mostly foreign terrorists/djihadists who illegally entered the country and jumped on the bandwagon to fight for their goals, or just to fight. Just like the Islamists that came to Syria claiming to 'help' the protesters, but only caused criminality, violation of human rights, death and destruction.
(Comm. Parrisson, 30 May 2014 14:22)
By the way the head commander of Novorossia Igor Strelkov obtained his first partisan experience in RS fighting the local Turks. Then he went to fight the Russian world in Transdniestria , Chechnya , Abkhazia , Crimea and Donbas. 5 days ago he brought to tribunal two of his ommanders and shot them down for robbery and kidnapping. 3-4 days ago he sent his guerillas to Donetsk and it stabilized the situation here. Last night his guys took 150 prisoners in Lugansk and set them free while today his guys hit down two helicopters. HE IS A REAL NIGHTMARE OF THE NEWLY ELECTED CHOCO HITLER & THE GANG WHILE HIS FIRST EXPERINCE HAS BEEN OBTAINED ON THE SERBIAN SOIL.
Vucic you don't know how to run foreign policy AT ALL! Tell you why, Macedonia and Montenegro imposed sanctions against Russia and that did not affect they relations at all! I mean nothing has changed in their relations! Your mistake was calling Moscow and discussing with Putin if it's fine to impose sanctions on his close associates! Are you kidding me? Of course he wouldn't let you (and pretend it's a big deal, when none of these people own anything in Serbia or ever plan to travel to it!) he already threatened to suspend the free trade agreement and ask Serbia to return repay their loans straight away.
Had you imposed the sanctions straight away and called Putin to tell him you had to as you are obligated by EU candidacy to align your foreign policy with the EU that would have not "hurt" your SERBIA EVER!
GO LEARN HOW TO RUN FOREIGN POLICY! I miss Tadic! Last thing we want is Russophiles running the country!
