New U.S. sanctions against Russian officials were announced last night, including visa restricting and freezing of assets, and includes the head of the oil giant Rosneft and a friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Igor Sechin.
After Russia in March recognized the independence of Crimea, Japan suspended negotiations with on visa facilitation and froze the start of negotiations on a new investment agreement.
Don't be strict ! Since 1945 Japan is an occupied country with very limited manuever. Even less than what the Europeans enjoy. Besides the US provoke the conflict between China and Japan. In this case the level of the manuever will diminish even more. It's like an anaconda grip. So the Russians take it easy. Prisoner of war is a prisoner of war while the samurai spirit is a Holliwood fairy tale.

The right-wing Japanese government had to reciprocate to Hussein for his support to Japan in its dispute with China over the Senkakus/Diaoyudao islands and therefore getting its new certificate for being a complete stooge to US foreign policy. The U.S invariably supporting right-wing militarism in vassal countries that harbour US bases. How long has Yokosuka been a U.S. base? 55 + 14 = 69 years. Will occupation ever end?
Back to sanctions it’s pretty obvious that the US/EU do not have a clue how respond to Russia .All their movements and announcements are face- saving exercises.I couldn’t help laughing while listening to Kerry announcing $30 million worth of aid to Ukraine when the country needs $35 billion.Putin has really flummoxed them.If the first round of sanctions did not work why would a second round of sanctions work ? Putin has made it clear they are prepared to suffer financial pain and the Russians have suffered a lot of pain throughout their history.Obama really is clueless.
