Antic told reporters they discussed joint activities to build additional gas transportation facilities, "and the possibility of joining the Turkish Stream," the Serbian government announced.

"We agreed to have far stronger coordination in terms of developing new energy projects in the upcoming period, which will lead to a greater energy stability of the region and that our energy national sovereignties be defined in the context of mutual cooperation," the minister said.

Szijjarto "emphasized that energy security is essential in this part of Europe and that therefore routes and sources of supply need to be diversified" while Petkova "stressed that the three countries have united about this possibility and that the talks on cooperation will continue, in order to achieve the best possible results for the consumers in all three countries."
