BELGRADE Ivica Dacic has said that possible early parliamentary elections were "a question of agreement between the SNS and the SPS." The SPS leader and Serbia's prime minister also noted on Tuesday that if elections were called early, "it will certainly not be a sign of conflict between the two parties or their leaders." Dacic: Elections matter of agreement between parties Dacic, responding to reporters' question whether it was time for elections "after the rounding of the process and the visible beginning of negotiations with the EU," said this question was posed "since the beginning of this government as an expression of a lack of confidence in what the government will be able to do." "It is a matter of agreement between the SPS and SNS - no one is in power through force, it is our collective authority," Dacic was quoted as saying. He also added that he was "proud of what the government has done so far in the EU accession process." He then asked: "If it's so easy, why some other government, during its mandate, did not do it?" Dacic also said that early elections "are not a taboo," that the subject "can always be discussed," and that "in any case they will be the result of an agreement, and in no way a sign of conflict between the SNS and the SPS," or himself and Alessandar Vucic.
