Economy Minister and Deputy PM Mladjan Dinkic says he has accepted the decision to be replaced, and says his G17 Plus party won't leave the government. The party will stay inside the cabinet "and do the best it can in the portfolios that it holds", he said in Belgrade on Monday afternoon. Dinkic accepts decision, party won't leave govt. Dinkic added that while he accepted Mirko Cvetkovic's decision, he "still stood behind every word he said in the last few days", and described the state of affairs in the country as "bad and in urgent need of changes". Dinkic also said his post as one of Cvetkovic's deputies was now at the disposal of his coalition partners, and described the cabinet as suffering from "plenty of stupid jealousy". At the same time, Dinkic announced he would suggest the name for his successor as economy minister. The now outgoing minister also asserted he was fearless, saying that he was "not afraid of Russians, Americans, Boris Tadic, and certainly not of Mirko Cvetkovic". "I am a friend of Boris Tadic, because I told him the truth that we need a more dynamic government," he said of the country's president and leader of the ruling Democrats (DS). Dinkic went on to claim that it was Tadic who formed the government, and that it was "up to him to appraise its work". He also announced that Minister for the National Investment Plan Verica Kalanovic would also resign, and that G17 Plus would put forward a candidate to replace her.
