LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic said that President Boris Tadic should attend the regional conference planned on being held in Slovenia. Jovanovic encouraged the president to meet with Kosovo leaders Hashim Thaci and Fatmir Sejdiu, stating that it would be a gesture of good will and of a desire to reach a solution for the problem. LDP: Tadic should attend conference He said that the question of whether Serbia is for Kosovo or the European Union is a fake dilemma, and that the incapable state institutions that are unable to improve the country and change their policies are posing such a question before the citizens. Jovanovic said that LDP has the obligation of helping to combat poor foreign policies and increase the level of regional cooperation. He said that Serbia has an obligation to cooperate with the Kosovo Albanians and the EU, adding that Serbia and Croatia must take responsibility for the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina instead of needlessly bothering Europe with their accusations of genocide against one another. “Instead of fighting for territory, we must fight for life,” Jovanovic said. He said that the Srebrenica resolution must be adopted because that is the only way that Serbia can show that it is distancing itself from the people who committed “the worst crime on the territory of Europe since World War II” in its name.
