The Serbian parliament adopted on Friday amendments to the Law on Travel Documents. The new provision will see Serbia's old, so-called blue passports, valid until the end of 2010. Parliament makes old passports valid through 2010 The original legislation envisaged that the old passports would become invalid by the end of this year. The reason for the measure lies with the fact that some Serbian diplomatic and consular offices abroad are still not technically equipped for biometric data acquisition. Serbia this year introduced the new, "red" biometric passports.
