Interior Minister Ivica Dacic says that Serbia has fulfilled all the conditions on the road map towards visa liberalization. After addressing a regional seminar of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry on visa liberalization and regional cooperation, Dacic told reporters that reforms had been implemented at all levels in the last year and a half. Dacic: All visa conditions met “Reforms were made in the spheres of document security, illegal migration, asylum, borders, combating crime and corruption, and the issue of basic human rights and freedoms,” Dacic said. He said that the European Commission’s decision to propose visa liberalization was a great recognition of Serbia and its Interior and Justice Ministries. “I am sure that Serbia has met all the conditions and that a positive decision will be taken by the European Commission at the end of the year. I hope that it will be confirmed by European Commission official Jacques Barrot, who will be attending an international conference on the challenges of organized crime in the Western Balkans, which will be held in Belgrade at the end of the month,” Dacic said.
