Montenegro recognizes Libyan rebels

The government of Montenegro has recognized the Libyan National Transitional Council as the legitimate representative of the Libyan people.

The government of Montenegro has recognized the Libyan National Transitional Council as the legitimate representative of the Libyan people. The government said that it in this way "confirmed its support for the efforts of the international community aimed at solving the situation in Libya as soon as possible". Montenegro recognizes Libyan rebels Montenegro is now ready to cooperate with the council, "based on full respect of democratic development, building of democratic institutions, respect of human rights and establishment of lasting peace in Libya".
