The American State Department said that bilateral cooperation with Serbia in the fight against terrorism is very positive. The part of the State Department’s report related to Serbia stated that the Serbian customs administration, police, border police, Security Information Agency and other security services have continued to improve cooperation within the government. State Department: Positive cooperation with Serbia The report reminds of the fact that a new law against money laundering and financial terrorism was adopted in Serbia in March, which will help in the fight against terrorism and is in accordance with international standards. The report states that cooperation between Serbia and America has improved, and that the U.S. is continuing programs of training and aid to the Serbian government in the anti-terrorism sector. The Justice Department’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) implemented workshops in which Serbian police officers participated and formed a joint anti-terrorism unit for investigative technology and crime scene investigations, the report states.
