Kosovo Minister Goran Bogdanovic says that the diplomatic struggle to keep the province in Serbia has yielded positive results. “Our ongoing struggle to preserve Kosovo by all diplomatic, political and legal means, in order to defend Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, has yielded positive results,” Bogdanovic wrote in an opinion piece for daily Politka, published on the anniversary of the unilateral independence declaration of the Serbian province. Minister upbeat on diplomatic results in Kosovo struggle He said that the UN General Assembly’s adoption of a draft resolution and the deployment of EULEX in Kosovo under Serbia’s conditions had been victories for Serbian diplomacy. “We now expect the international community to move with all urgency toward agreeing to and implementing the six-point plant, as it is necessary to fill the legal vacuum that was created due to the unclear process of transferring UN powers to the EU mission,” said Bogdanovic. He said that Serbia would, at the next UN Security Council session in March, demand the annulment of the decision to form the Kosovo Security Forces, as it violates UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
