Milo Djukanovic stated that "as a good neighbor," Montenegro is ready to help Bosnia-Herzegovina on its path toward EU, Beta reports. The Montenegrin prime minister, currently on an official visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina, met with High Representative Miroslav Lajcak on Monday in Sarajevo. Djukanovic pledges "help on EU road" to Bosnia After the meeting, the Montenegrin prime minister briefly addressed journalists, saying that his country is currently "enjoying a boom in stability" and is ready to help Bosnia. "We very much respect the efforts of the international community, the European Union and Lajcak, who are working on stabilizing the situation in Bosnia," said Djukanovic. Lajcak said that good-neighborly relations are a key prerequisite for accelerated European integration. Djukanovic reiterated that Montenegro will support every constitutional resolution that brings internal dialogue and consensus within Bosnia. Nikola Spiric, chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of Ministers, said that "Montenegro has made giant strides because it is very close to meeting the requirements for joining the EU," and expressed his hope that this fact would encourage Bosnia to continue improving.
