NATO is not creating its state and it has no hidden agenda regarding the province, a NATO spokeswoman has said. “The North-Atlantic Alliance will support any solution reached in the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina,” Carmen Romero said in a statement for Tanjug in Brussels Tuesday. “NATO has no hidden agenda for Kosovo” “NATO has no hidden agenda for Kosovo and it is not creating it state in Kosovo,” she said emphatically, commenting on the criticisms of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization coming from Belgrade. “It is normal for there to be criticisms, as they are a part of the rhetoric during negotiations,” she said, adding that NATO “has nothing to add to its stand.” “NATO supports the political process and it will back any solution that is agreed on in the course of that process which it fully supports,” Romero said. “NATO is not leading the process of the resolving of the status of Kosovo, even though it has a seat in the enlarged composition of the Contact Group,” she stressed “The negotiations are NATO's main priority, and it believes it would be ideal if the sides managed to reach agreement.”
