The man who imprisoned his own flesh and blood for 24 years in a cellar, murdered, raped and fathered seven children, is to be incarcerated himself, most likely to die before any possibility of release. For now, Fritzl remains in the prison near the courtroom where the extent of his crimes was laid bare. He will be closely monitored to ensure he does not escape justice by taking his own life.
