Heavy rain expected to increase flooding risk

Heavy rainfall is expected in the area of Bor, Zajecar and in southern Serbia tonight, MUP Emergency Sector Chief Predrag Maric told B92. He explained that the heavy rain would increase the danger of torrential floods. The MUP Emergency Sector chief added that mudslides had been activated by the rain in the area of the western towns of Loznica, Ljubovija and Krupanj but that people's lives were not in danger. According to him, water levels have dropped in the area of Valjevo. “We gave the order to monitor the situation during the night and to provide mechanization and manpower.
