Two city sanitation company workers were killed in a traffic accident on the outskirts of Belgrade this morning. The deadly accident involved a collision between a DAF truck and a Fiat Punto, which then swerved and hit a garbage truck. City sanitation workers killed in accident The workers, identified as Salja Zumer, 25, and Berisa Kenan, 20, were standing next to the truck when they were hit. The driver and a passenger in the Fiat were also seriously hurt. Police said that criminal charges would be brought against the driver of the DAF truck. Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas reacted this afternoon by sending a telegram of condolences to the families of the two victims, expressing deep regret over the loss of young lives, and his conviction that that the persons guilty of causing the accident would be punished.
