A Serbian NGO feels that pro-fascist and clero-fascist groups pose a threat to democracy and the future. "If the authorities don’t react to such blatant Nazism, then their attitude towards the fascism which is springing up in various forms on all sides is clear, because what’s going on in Novi Sad is just the tip of the iceberg," the Society for the Truth of the National Liberation Struggle (NOB) claim in a statement. NGO condemns pro-fascist groups They add that the propagation of religious and national hatred in a multi-national and multi-faith Serbia can threaten and bring untold harm to all citizens, regardless of their religion or nationality. "That’s why it’s incomprehensible that the authorities have not responded to the Vojvodina Assembly’s justified request for the work of proponents of Nazi or fascist manifestos to be outlawed, not even after two years," they say in the statement. The NGO also condemns those citizens who wish to oppose a scheduled Nazi rally with violence. "That would play right into the hands of the neo-Nazis, as violence is their be all and end all," the statement goes on to say. A Nazi rally, "Serbian March, a March for Serbian Unity", has been scheduled for October 7, to coincide with the birthday of the late Gestapo chief Heinrich Himmler
