New demand for investigation of JSO rebellion
Srđa Popović said that it is obvious that special prosecutor Slobodan Radovanović is now trying “pull out of his promise” to open the case against the armed rebellion of the Red Berets.Popović and his colleague Rajko Danilović said that such a case would uncover the political background behind Ðindić‘s murder.
Popović added that he no longer expects much of Radovanović, but that there are “other ways” of starting up an investigation.
He reiterated that the Liberal Democratic Party stated that it would press charges against Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica, then Yugoslav Military chief-of-staff, and former military security chief Aca Tomic for not reacting accordingly to the armed rebellion of the JSO, according to Novi Sad daily Gradanski List.
