Nearly 10,000 refugees crossed the border between Greece and Macedonia at the Gevgelija crossing between September 1 and 6.

10k refugees enter Macedonia in first 6 days of September

UNICEF said that at the same time, 7,720 refugees have been registered in Presevo, southern Serbia - near the border with Macedonia.

A statement said that most of the refugees entering Macedonia head for Serbia, and then to their end destination in western Europe.

Since June, more than 64,000 refugees crossed the Greek-Macedonian border, while at in the same period of time 89,161 have been registered at the Serbian border, UNICEF said.
