The Appellate Court in the Austrian city of Linz will probably reject the appeal of former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, writes daily Die Presse. The Vienna-based daily added that Sanader would not be released before his extradition. Ex-Croatian PM to remain in custody The ex-Croatian prime minister was arrested on December 10 in Austria, on a warrant issued by Croatia where he is wanted on corruption charges. After the arrest, he said that he did not want to be extradited to his home country. “I believe the Linz Appellate Court will deny Sanader's appeal against the ruling that he stay in custody pending extradition,” Head of the Salzburg State Prosecution Christina Chalupsky told Die Presse. She expects that the court will come out with a ruling in 10 to 14 days. The ex-prime minister is under investigation for corruption and money laundering following a report from a bank in the Austrian state of Tyrol.
