Montenegrin police have prevented Serbian Orthodox Church clergy from serving a Holy Liturgy to mark St. John’s Day, according to the SPC in Montenegro. According to a statement, police had cordoned off the area and used force to stop members of the Cetinje clergy from entering the church. Montenegrin police obstruct SPC service “The Cetinje clergy is currently in front of the police cordon, which stopped them from entering the church to perform a liturgy for the holiday of St. John the Baptist and the Holy Mother,” the statement reads.
