Greek police destroyed a bomb which was set to go off outside a policy research institute, affiliated with the EU. The bomb outside the Economic and Social Council building near central Athens was destroyed by bomb squads. In an unrelated incident, arsonists set off homemade explosive devices outside the building of an upscale car dealership in a southern seaside suburb of Athens, causing serious damage to four cars. No-one claimed responsibility for the attack.
