Greece bans Macedonian carrier flights MAT has received a letter that says the company will not be allowed to fly charters to Corfu in June, July and August – if it does so under its name, which translated reads, Macedonian Air Transport. MAT says this is the first time that Greece has explicitly shut down its operations, and says the move represents "absolute violation of international norms". The company added that the Greek government decision will also mean more Macedonian tourists will now opt to travel to Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt and Spain.
