Serbia respects Ukraine's territorial integrity - minister

Joksimovic said this as she met with a visiting Ukrainian delegation, composed of representatives from various institutions in charge of EU accession.

According to Beta, they discussed "current and future activities of Serbia in the process of accession, and the forms of cooperation between the two countries on the European path."

The Serbian minister said, regarding disagreements over the statements made by the Ukrainian ambassador in Belgrade, that Serbia and Ukraine "must show more political tact towards each other - even on those issues which they view differently," a statement said.

Joksimovic is also quoted as saying that cooperation with Ukraine in the process of European integration has lasted for many years, and that there was potential to intensify it.

She "confirmed Serbia's readiness to transfer its own experiences from the accession process, negotiations, specific chapters, and the use of pre-accession funds."

According to the statement, members of the Ukrainian delegation "thanked for the readiness to share some of the experiences from the political and technical process of negotiations and expressed their hope that cooperation will continue."
