Kosovo President Hashim Thaci was not received by European Council President Donald Tusk on Wednesday in Brussels.

"Thaci snubbed by Tusk because of EULEX mandate"

According to the paper's EU sources, the meeting was canceled at the last minute. This was initially explained by Tusk's busy schedule.

However, the daily reported the same afternoon that the cancellation came due to the slow progress in reaching the agreement on extending the mandate of EULEX.

Thaci arrived in Brussels on Wednesday and met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. As stated, they spoke about "the start of political dialogue between Kosovo and NATO and the cooperation of Kosovo Security Force (KSF) with the North Atlantic Alliance."

It was further said that "the two leaders confirmed their interest in further development of relations between NATO and Kosovo," while Thaci said the KSF was "ready to participate in maneuvers, but also to contribute to NATO peacekeeping missions."
