DS leader: Three quarters of citizens unhappy with "regime"

According to Pajtic, "three-quarters of citizens of Serbia are dissatisfied with the regime and the fact that the land they cultivated is being taken away, the state is destroyed by secret contracts, those who bought their diplomas are in power."

"Serbia has a chance if a majority of the three-quarters of dissatisfied citizens turn out (to vote) because Vucic is basing his entire support on the 20 percent who support him," said the DS leader.

Commenting on the failure of opposition parties to unite ahead for the election, Pajtic said there was "no vanity or debates" among them when it comes to the number of mandates each would have been allocated, but that "surveys and focus groups have shown that citizens do not want a single opposition list."

Asked whether Dragan Djilas and Vuk Jeremic would "return to the DS" he said that Djilas "is in the DS" while "the story about the return of Jeremic has been served as an excuse for the government not to support his candidacy for the position of UN secretary-general."

"When I was elected the president of the party, I said that Djilas can choose what he wants to be in the party, and I think the same now. He has paid a huge price for being the DS president, he has been immensely demonized .
