EU wants ZSO statute prepared "as rapidly as possible"

EU's special representative in Kosovo Samuel Zbogar has called on authorities in Kosovo to prepare, as soon as possible, the statute of the ZSO.

EU wants ZSO statute prepared "as rapidly as possible"

The EU Office in Kosovo said on its website that it had "taken note of the decision of the Constitutional Court concerning the assessment of the principles on the establishment of the Association/Community of Serb majority municipalities."

A statement said that the court ruled the community (ZSO) is to be established "as provided by the First Agreement, in accordance with the Constitution."

"We expect all parties to respect this decision, so that the legal act of the government of Kosovo implementing this agreement and the following statute can be elaborated as rapidly as possible," said the EU office in Pristina.

Belgrade reacted to the court's decision on Wednesday by saying it expected the full implementation of the Brussels agreements.
