"We won't use force, but won't allow organized return"

"The intention of these people to reach the European Union and to seek asylum there is quite obvious and the Serbian police and government will not be making things harder for them in any way. On the contrary, we will assist them and not use any kind of force against them in any way whatsoever," Stefanovic said.

He added that Serbia was "doing everything to provide enough food, water and medicines to the refugees and make their stay in our country as easy as possible," stressing, however, that the organized return of refugees to our country would not be allowed.

"This is an issue to be dealt with by Europe," Stefanovic said, adding that Serbia could not accept all those people getting back to its territory, as they had only been transiting through Serbia.
