Hungary has been passing stricter rules toward migrants for a while and will certainly also declare a state of emergency, says Rade Drobac.

Ambassador expects Hungary to declare state of emergency

Serbia does not look favorably at a wall that is to all intents and purposes being created "toward an EU country," said he.

Drobac then stressed that "this is certainly not something we expected in this day and age - it's a relic of the past, while Serbia already has its own problems even without this big wave of migrants."

According to the diplomat, Serbia and Hungary during the past years improved their relations, while "this problem surpasses both Hungary and Serbia."

Drobac thinks it is "a European problem," adding that "Europe is not the only one responsible for what is happening, it cannot be the only one to suffer the consequences - and it is certain Serbia and Hungary are suffering the greatest consequences."

The ambassador added he "cannot see a solution to the problem considering there is no united position in the EU on the issue, because different states are endangered by the problem differently."

"In the coming period some common policy should be arrived at that may resolve this situation," concluded Drobac.
