BELGRADE Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic says he could schedule a debate on the government reshuffle and changes to the Law on Ministries for Monday. Stefanovic, who is also a high-ranking official of the ruling SNS party, told B92 on Friday that he expects "a government session to happen first." Speaker "could" schedule reshuffle debate for Monday "I expect the government to consider changes and amendments to the Law on Ministries in a session on Saturday, and after that the draft will be forwarded to parliament. If that happens, I will schedule the session for Monday morning," he said, and added: "After that I expect another, new parliament session, which will debate personnel solutions, that is, the new ministers. It is possible to schedule that session during the next week, after the debate in detail on the Law on Ministries has been concluded." Stefanovic added said he expected the cabinet reshuffle to be completed "as planned" by the end of next week, with voting in parliament. Also on Friday, Tanjug reported that it learned from government sources that draft amendments to the law and a request for the Serbian parliament to discuss it urgently will be one of the topics of a meeting the government will hold on Saturday. As expected, the draft amendments of the law will then immediately be sent to parliament. On Thursday, Prime Minister Ivica Dacic voiced expectation that MPs will discuss the draft amendments to the law on ministries on August 26 and thus start a session dedicated to the government reshuffle.
