Serbian President Boris Tadic congratulated Saturday Republic of Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik on the agreement with the EU. “I congratulate Milorad Dodik for making a good agreement which defends the interests of RS, contributes to stability in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and opens new perspectives,” the Serbian president told journalists after visiting the 78th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. Dodik and Ashton reached an agreement in Banja Luka on Friday on formation of an EU commission for restructuring of judicial institutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina, after which the RS president stated that the referendum on the decisions by the high representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the domain of judiciary was no longer necessary. “Tension should be eased, problems in functioning of Bosnia-Herzegovina analyzed, and a solution for the functioning of judicial institutions found. It is unacceptable that some people are more equal than others in Orwell's sense, and in that view the justice system in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia as well, need to be improved in future,” Tadic pointed out.
