Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Cedomir Jovanovic has announced that his party will request a parliamentary debate on public companies. He said the LDP would request an audit of finances, decision making and cash flow in public companies. LDP calls for debate on public companies Jovanovic pointed out that the purpose of the debate would be to determine political responsibility for losses and money drain. He has also announced a debate on reports on Kolubara Coal Mine, Serbian Railways, The Serbian Roads, Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS), Jat Airways, Serbian Power Company (EPS) and other public companies. The LDP leader stressed that it was necessary for the government to urgently withdraw from all sectors it did not belong to and where it was only creating costs, losses and room for corruption. According to him, the current government, just like the previous two, is returning the society to the state socialism instead of carrying out privatizations and giving subsidies to failed public companies and institutions as a substitute for reforms.
