Vojislav Kostunica will hold meetings in New York ahead of the December 19 UN Security Council Kosovo debate. The prime minister is expected to ask the Security Council for support in continuing negotiations over Kosovo’s final status in an effort to find a compromise solution. President Boris Tadic said that he did not expect tomorrow’s meeting to be the last such under Security Council auspices on the subject of Kosovo. He added that he did not expect any dramatic final decisions to be taken at the meeting. Tadic told Radio Television Serbia that he expected at least one more Security Council meeting in January, at which he would most probably participate.
