Mladjan Dinkic said that strategically important investors should be asked "what they need to come to Serbia." The economic and regional development minister particularly highlighted those from the automobile, electronic, and software industries. "Ask foreign investors what they need" "We won’t ask how much the state can get out of it, and if needs be we’ll pay for real investors to come to Serbia," he told the daily Politika. Dinkic said that the Law on Foreign Investors would not change, but be abolished, so that foreign and domestic investors are treated the same, since, in his opinion, there was no longer any need to give foreigners preferential treatment. "The goal is to create a investment and business climate, favourable to both domestic and foreign investors, in order to ultimately abolish the Law on Foreign Currency Operations, as other countries have done," stressed the minister.
