KOSOVSKA MITROVICA Following Thursday's incident, which left two Kosovo Serbs injured, members of the Kosovo and EULEX police searched two ethnic Albanian houses. The searched houses are located in a village near Kosovska Mitrovica. The police seized a certain amount of ammunition. EULEX police seize ammunition following attack on Serbs Ergin Medic, deputy regional director of the Kosovo police, told Tanjug that the police searched two houses in the village of Suvi Do and discovered 82 pieces of 7.62 mm ammunition for automatic rifle. He added that the police also found a number of other items relating to Thursday's incident, which could serve as evidence in the criminal procedure, stressing that one person was taken to custody and released after a hearing. Petar Baltic and Ivan Pavlovic were attacked on the road between Kosovska Mitrovica and the village of Suvi Do by three ethnic Albanians, one of whom used a pistol to repeatedly hit Pavlovic in the head, as eyewitnesses said. Medic said that the police would carry on with the investigation into the incident and that it would take measures on Friday with a view to arresting persons suspected of this criminal act, which was qualified as violation of public peace and order. The incident in north Kosovo was condemned by the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Krstimir Pantic who urged representatives of the international community to stop violence against Serbs and punish the perpetrators.
