Police in Subotica have charged three persons from that northern town with human trafficking and illegal crossing of the state border.

Police in Subotica have charged three persons from that northern town with human trafficking and illegal crossing of the state border. The arrests were conducted in cooperation with members of the "regional center of border police", said Tanjug in its report. Human traffickers arrested Late on Sunday, a police patrol stopped a van traveling toward a border crossing with Hungary and discovered twelve persons in the vehicle, three from Kosovo, while the remaining nine are citizens of Turkey, Pakistan and Albania, police stated. The driver of the vehicle managed to escape and police are still searching for him. Two more Pakistani citizens were discovered during a search of the house of one of the arrested persons.

Human traffickers arrested

Late on Sunday, a police patrol stopped a van traveling toward a border crossing with Hungary and discovered twelve persons in the vehicle, three from Kosovo, while the remaining nine are citizens of Turkey, Pakistan and Albania, police stated.

The driver of the vehicle managed to escape and police are still searching for him.

Two more Pakistani citizens were discovered during a search of the house of one of the arrested persons.
