The Serbian budget will, as of March, receive funds from the assets seized from criminals. This is according to Justice Minister Snezana Malovic, whom daily Blic reported as saying that "everything has been secured for the implementation of the Law on Seizure of Proceeds of Crime". Seizure of criminals' property in March "I expect this to be a blow to criminals. This law will affirm the message that crime does not pay," Malovic said in a statement. The Justice Ministry also founded the Directorate for Management of Seized Property, with RSD 160mn set aside for its operations. The directorate will have 25 employees, the minister specified.
