Employers pay lower taxes from January 1

Among other things, the first day of the new year marked the start of the implementation of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Personal Income Tax, which is focused on eliminating the gray zone in employment and converting it into legal flows by providing incentives for legal employment and tax reliefs when new workers are hired.

The employer who hires a new worker has the right to claim a refund on income tax paid for the new employee, provided that the employee is registered with the Central Registry of Compulsory Social Insurance.
