New talks between IMF, Serbian government

The focus of the talks in the next two weeks will be on Serbia's budget for 2016, reform of public companies and potential increase of salaries and pensions.

Early in 2015, the IMF concluded a stand-by arrangement with Serbia worth EUR 1.2 billion.

Roaf announced in August that as part of the third review, the IMF will consider the budget for 2016 and all economic trends relating to revenue collection. Taking this into account, we will reach a decision in the talks with the government officials on potential room for increasing salaries and pensions, Roaf said.
