Serbia's free-trade agreements with European and Asian countries Serbia has access to duty free trade with a market of one billion people. This is according to Serbian Minister of Economy Mladjan Dinkic who spoke in Slovenia in Thursday, and also mentioned Serbia's preferential trade status with the United States. "Serbia's duty-free access to market of 1 billion" Attending a Slovenian Business Club meeting as a guest, Dinkic recalled that beside the free-trade zone with the CEFTA countries, Serbia also has free-trade agreements with the European Union, Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Kazakhstan and EFTA countries, and a preferential export status with the United States. Calling on Slovenia's investors to invest in Serbia, Dinkic said that the state of Serbia grants, depending on the investment amount, between EUR 2,000 and EUR 10,000 for each new job created, provided the investment is not below EUR 500,000, which will secure at least 50 new jobs. The car industry is currently the most expanding industrial sector in Serbia, mainly owing to FIAT, said Dinkic, expressing his expectation that car exports from Kragujevac will amount to EUR 1.5bn, while spare part producers are expected to export products worth another billion euros. Over the past ten years, Slovenia's investments amounted to about EUR 950mn, while Slovenia is eighth on the list of investors in Serbia, said Dinkic.
