Serbian water polo team beats Croatia to win World League

Serbian men's water polo team defended the World League title by beating Croatia 9-6 (1-1, 1-3, 3-1, 4-1) late on Sunday in Bergamo, Italy.

Tanjug reported that the team also qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and received a prize of USD 100,000.

Coached by Dejan Savic, the Serbian team managed to gather up strength despite tiredness and defeat the Croatian team, which was leading by 5-3 at one point.

Serbia's Dusko Pijetlovic, top scorer of the final match, scored three goals, Tanjug said.
