Mass protest of Serbs ended; "No" to Kurti's terror; Rakić: We want peace and freedom
The crisis headquarters of the Serbian people from the north of Kosovo and Metohija called earlier for today's protest because of the latest threats by Albin Kurti, who called for the disappearance of the Serbian people and the killing of Serbs at the barricades. The invitation was also sent because of the direct support of Kurti by the German ambassador in Pristina, Jorn Rode, "who dared to set ultimatums and deadlines for removing the barricades and sided with Kurti's terror and violence."
The Serbs are at the barricades in the north of Kosovo and Metohija for the 13th day and are not giving up on their demand for the release of Dejan Pantić and other Serbian citizens who were arrested without grounds by the Kosovo police in the previous days.
Jevtić: We want to be on our own and live in peace
"We have been suffering terror and injustice for a year, our brothers have been waiting for justice imprisoned for a year, but there is no justice," said Jevtić. He added that he does not expect Kurti to understand these messages from today.
Rakić: We want peace and freedom, but we will not give up on Serbian origin
"The terror we suffer every day from Pristina and baseless arrests, secret lists with lists for the killing of Serbs and the mistreatment of the Serbian people by Kurti's special forces, are the reason why we gathered today in Rudare near the Cross, and under the Zvečan Fortress, to tell Pristina and their mentors that we are here, that we want peace, but also freedom and that we will not surrender to those who would destroy everything that is Serbian," Rakić pointed out at the end of the meeting.
Mayor of Zvečan: We demand that Pantić, Adžić and Trajković be released
The Serbs gathered in Rudare because of Albin Kurti's threatening messages, said the former mayor of Zvečan Dr Dragiša Milović at a large gathering of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija and pointed out that those gathered want to send a message that they are not criminals and terrorists, but citizens whose rights are threatened."We want to point out that the basic human rights of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are threatened and that someone hears us, as well as that all citizens, doctors, professors, lawyers, students, schoolchildren and everyone else are at the meeting, not some armed gang, as it is portrayed Pristina," he said.
"This is a peaceful and democratic gathering against Kurti's threats - that the barricades can be removed with human sacrifices. That scared us. These are the messages that have been coming from Pristina all these months. These are not messages of peace and coexistence," Milović said.
He said that these messages from Pristina come in the form of arrests, harassment and terror against Serbs. "We are asking for the release of Pantić, Adžić and Trajković," said Milović.
