Belgrade Emergency Services’ Mirko Lutovac has said that most of the injured persons are police officers and that their injuries were not serious.

The Red Star fans clashed with the police at entrances to the hall. Many people, even those who had tickets for the game, did not manage to go inside the hall which was full.

After a short scuffle, the fans clashed with the police outside the hall. According to some information, a fight first broke out between the fans.

The Police Union of Serbia has strongly condemned the rioting of the Red Star fans and attacks on the police, noting that police officers are “like sitting ducks waiting for hooligans to throw rocks at them”.

Red Star lost to Galatasaray 74:91.
