Gnjilane suspect remanded in custody

The investigative judge in Preševo has remanded Muhamed Nuhiu (37), arrested during Friday's MUP operation against the Gnjilane Group, in custody for 30 days.

Nuhiu is accused of unauthorized possession of firearms and explosive material.

According to a statement from the Vranje Police Department, during a search of Nuhiu’s home and other premises in his ownership on December 26, police found a hand grenade and pistol with one bullet that he had illegally acquired and kept at his home.

Nuhiu is in the custody of the Preševo prosecution, while the other suspects arrested on Friday are accused of war crimes and have been transferred to Belgrade.
